Missouri Fuel Prices Decline

According to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report, as of December 19, 2018, the average retail price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Missouri was $1.95 per gallon, 42 cents lower than the national average of $2.37.

Recent falling gas prices have many people wondering, why? The cost of crude oil in the global marketplace and the sales of gas efficient vehicles help dictate the price of gasoline.

Missouri had the lowest gas prices in the nation at $1.95 a gallon followed by Arkansas and Alabama posting $2.03 a gallon. Hawaii topped gas prices in the nation at $3.49 a gallon followed by Alaska with $3.09. For a list of all of the states, click here.
