Fastest Growing Occupations 2007-2009
Missouri is projected to have more than 205,000 job openings from 2007 to 2009. During this time, the 20 occupations with the fastest projected growth in the state include five health-related occupations, three construction and extraction occupations, and two computer and mathematical occupations.
Eighteen of the 20 fastest growing occupations have a Grade A or B outlook in terms of having above average openings, growth and wages.
Gaming Surveillance Officers and Gaming Investigators are projected to grow the most rapidly in the state, increasing by 11.58 percent from 2007 to 2009.
