Kansas City Tops Population Estimates
with Most Residents in State
A
ranking of city population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau
shows Kansas City as the most populous city in Missouri and the 39th
most populous in the country. With a population of 450,375
in 2007, Kansas City experienced the largest increase in the state
with over 3,500 more residents from the previous year.
Other Missouri cities with large increases were O'Fallon (3,029),
Columbia (2,323), Wentzville (1,787),and Blue Springs (1,276).
